A top-down action adventure you beat five times, and every run is drawn like the next generation of games: 8-bit, 16-bit, tilted early 3D, real 3D, then HD. Then you retire to a ranch with your family and a raid team's worth of bad ideas.

One scene, five runs

The world, the jokes and the fights are the same every run. The generation changes. Pick a scene and compare. Tap any one to see the full Android screen, touch controls and all.

What you're in for

Robe. Wizard hat.

Blud swings a sword he calls a wand and throws smoke bombs he calls spells. Half the realm is hitting on him. He thinks they want to talk about staff technique.

Five runs, five generations

Beat it and New Game+ comes back harder and a whole console generation newer. Same land, same nine dungeons, same music rearranged for each era.

Every line is voiced

Over a thousand spoken lines with hand-directed acting: a deadpan narrator, a filthy-minded sage, a hedge preacher, a sentient bar of soap and one very bad husband.

The night is real

Once Blud gets the Ember Sigil, the game follows your clock. After dark every screen stays black until you light it. Blud has opinions about this.

Then the ranch

Finish all five and retire to an endless procedural ranch with June and the kids as a near-invincible raid team. Jobs, bounties, seasons. The voice budget ran out.

Gore, and a heart

Cartoon gore on everything that deserves it, and a real story under the jokes: a slow-burn romance, a past Blud won't talk about, and a villain who has it coming.

On PC: WASD to move, J or Space to attack, K or Shift to shield, F for your equipped relic, Q for a potion, and 1–0 for the ability bar. Everything can be rebound under Controls. Gamepads work too.
